Often new parents reach out before [or shortly thereafter] their little one is born requesting newborn photos. While I love doing photos on a wee little one, I have discovered that I absolutely LOVE the photosessions that are around 3 months of age. Babies at this age still have that sleepy, newborn aspect to them but are more alert and able to show their big beautiful eyes and smiles = win/win. So if you’re worried that you missed your chance for a newborn shoot, don’t fret. Baby C’s recent session is here to prove that 3 month shoots are just as special, if not more so:
Those baby blues!
Not only newborns are super sleepy!
With his Grandma’s blanket!
Who’s the real baby in the family? …I think it’s clear 😉
^Outtakes…and BFFs since birth.
Such a love. See what I mean? Next time you have a baby [which I know doesn’t happen very often], make sure that you don’t beat yourself up about not rushing to get newborn photos. Sometimes the wait is totally worth it!
Sisters Jaclyn & Rachael of Lovely Happenings, a new lifestyle workshop events company, hung out with me all day one Sunday back in August. Our goals was to create a number of beautiful scenes for their new website and brand. We cooked, baked, painted, applied lipstick, and did a bunch of other fun and girly things that bring friends together = my heaven. I am very excited for the debut of their new website, but before that happens, figured I’d post some previews of our day…especially because I’m still dreaming about that no-bake oreo cookie pie!
These queens of D-I-Y-ing did not disappoint. So many fun things they made — and such easy subjects at that!
From lemonade in mason jars to glitter paint to flower arrangements to martini shakers, we did it all!
I’m telling you, this no-bake oreo cake was out-of-this-world:
There’s nothing more fun than a pinterest-perfect day…Stay tuned for their new website, coming soon!
